It seems to me like a wild, off-the-tracks Passetoutgrain. Whatever it is, it's the most captivating red wine I've tasted this year.Clotpollhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04808000220929944855noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3799854524070158890.post-21053749414946813012011-12-10T14:13:57.638-05:002011-12-10T14:13:57.638-05:00I just don't understand people that think whit...I just don't understand people that think whites or lighter bodied reds aren't serious wines. You are so right, the food friendly aspects are much more versatile. I'm a big fan of Blaufrankisch, love the Clos de Tue-Boeuf and recently discovered another grape Schioppettino that is delish. I've been thinking lately, as decent Bourgogne hovers around $30/bottle, that Loire and Jura pinots (albeit very different taste profiles than Bourgogne) make more sense. Save the big bucks for serious Burgundies, and drink other regional pinots on weeknights. Great for variation as well as for the budget.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3799854524070158890.post-79823373614554946012011-12-10T08:11:28.627-05:002011-12-10T08:11:28.627-05:00Love the Guion. Funnily enough I also thinks drinkability is helped by being a little sweet, not overly, need to be balanced but a lot of (natural made) italians can do quite a good job. they do like some food but funnily enough can be very refreshing.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3799854524070158890.post-24564271507196431652011-12-09T22:55:39.873-05:002011-12-09T22:55:39.873-05:00I think the overall difference for me in real gene...I think the overall difference for me in real general terms is the aroma.
