I've been trying to get my hands on one of the best wines I've EVER tasted: Domaine de Val Frais Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvée Prestige (any year is fine) since April, 2008 when I had a bottle at Aquavit restaurant in NYC. I have tried every Google search and winery but without solution. I'm looking to purchase a case or two so the person who can help me find it, I will reward them with 2 FREE BOTTLES...and I trust you won't be disappointed! To aid your search, please visit http://www.chateauneuf.dk/en/cdpen117.htm (the label on the bottom is the one I'm looking for) and e-mail me at jwilliams@ccgglaw.com with any assistance you can provide. I believe that there is Pinot Blanc in the wine. I read somewhere that it is Pinot Gris but i have to assume that was an error.

Hi Mark - there was a style change that is generally considered to originate in about 1987 when Jean-Pierre de Smet took over. I don't know about since the early '90s, I'm sorry to say. The wines now are anything but clunky, that i can tell you.Brooklynguyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16321573602782343974noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3799854524070158890.post-59934018511676442112009-01-06T23:17:00.000-05:002009-01-06T23:17:00.000-05:00has there been a style change?i remember tasting l...has there been a style change?
i remember tasting l'Arlot in the early 90's and finding them nice but clunky (no finesse). perhaps it was the vintage, or perhaps i didn't have a clue. i do know some folks who were always effusive about their wines.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3799854524070158890.post-48235909214989496942009-01-06T12:14:00.000-05:002009-01-06T12:14:00.000-05:00Triple up on that jealousy, Neil. I ask only because I know of at least one other producer in Prémeaux-Prissey who makes a 1er Cru white from Pinot Blanc.David McDuffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03274955351036700406noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3799854524070158890.post-21242500237883570582009-01-06T01:49:00.000-05:002009-01-06T01:49:00.000-05:00Neil,I'm amazingly jealous. . . it is highly likel...Neil,

I'm amazingly jealous. . . it is highly likely that my only (but very positive) experience of De L'Arlot will be limited to the liquid.
