I can't remember the name of the wine but it smelled like blueberries and jasmine. It was so good that I didn't want to drink it because I didn't want it to be over.

Right now I'm working with a site about wine called DECANT3R and I would love to tell you more about what we do. You can reach me at emily@stagetwoconsulting.com. Keep up the great writing!emilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15253973253069713675noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3799854524070158890.post-78722441107662594702008-08-15T17:10:00.000-04:002008-08-15T17:10:00.000-04:00What a great story--and you leave us hanging by no...What a great story--and you leave us hanging by not having the name of the wine!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3799854524070158890.post-32566025589365090722008-08-15T12:27:00.000-04:002008-08-15T12:27:00.000-04:00thanks for the comments. david m - i never even th...thanks for the comments. david m - i never even thought of that. i hope it happens.

peter - although you;re right, that it is a gateway wine, i think many people there are buying trophies, not beverages.Brooklynguyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16321573602782343974noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3799854524070158890.post-47247821265426400962008-08-14T21:39:00.000-04:002008-08-14T21:39:00.000-04:00Mine was in 1992, in France, and it was a 1985 Lyn...Mine was in 1992, in France, and it was a 1985 Lynch Bages.

I think Bordeaux is the gateway wine, and it makes me worry about the collective Chinese palate in 20 years and the effect that will have on our beloved corners of the world.peterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17189314044617829401noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3799854524070158890.post-11509870025943535402008-08-14T08:04:00.000-04:002008-08-14T08:04:00.000-04:00Well told, Neil.
